THE PEOPLE
Raynbow Farms is owned and operated by Clint and Jeannette Raynes of Scott City, Kansas. Music teachers by profession, we began getting interested in goats in 2004 while living in Kansas City. When we moved back to western Kansas to be nearer our grandchildren, we decided to “get into goats” – so we bought a home with 10 acres of land. We have had much to learn and have found many generous and patient “goat people” very willing to share their expertise with us.
THE GOAL
Our main goal, however, is to provide KIKO goats for breeding purposes that are true to the original intent of the breed:
High resistance to parasites
Few hoof problems
Excellent mothering instincts
Easy birthing – (we want to sleep through the night during kidding season)
Vigorous kids – up and nursing in a very short time
Nice tight udders with well-placed teats
Hardy and aggressive browsers
Aggressive breeders – bucks that are ready to prove themselves at an early age and does with that same trait in their bloodlines.
We have found that KIKOS are indeed very self-sufficient and because we can’t be home all the time, we are grateful for that. We have adopted a “survival of the fittest” philosophy. If they can’t make it pretty much unassisted, they are not the kind of breeding stock we want to pass on to you.
Welcome to Raynbow Farms... We offer only premium quality Kiko Goats.
